Tea Cozy

Friday and Saturday I helped out at a Ladies Retreat Tea Cozy. It was really fun this is what I did the whole time...

Friday: I got there at 8:30pm, helped set-up, got the tea ready and ran to the kitchen for the milk and things to pour the hot water out of. At 9:00 the ladies started to arrive, then I scooped tea and put some dishes away.

Saturday: I got there at 12:30 and while waiting for Cortney to show-up I cleaned up a little from the night before, wiping the counters, getting things straitened and getting timers ready. Then when Cortney got there I put napkins, spoons and tea cups on all the tables. That afternoon it was a little busier, well sort of, no one came until about 2:00 or 2:30 and then after that lots more got there. I scooped tea, put scones on platters, dived up the allotted clotted creme and lemon curd, got tea in tea pots, pored water, set timers, helped serve, clear tables, dried dishes, put cups away and did refills on tea. *Fweew!*

So that's it. My feet hurt SO bad! But it was fun :)

P.S. We don't usually work on Shabbat or do any money transactions, but this was volunteer work so I think it's OK.
