The Auditions!

OK Wednesday was not a regular dance day, we did not get taught by our normal dance teacher instead we had Auditions for the Summer Ballet Intensive! Which is a three week long ballet camp! Three weeks of non stop dance! It was SO cool! We were taught by a man named Michelangelo! And the judge's name was Farah, just like my mom except only one R not two. Anyway this is how it went...

When I got there I didn't even know it was the day of the auditions but Tara (my dance teacher) seemed really excited! She said something to me but I could not understand it. Then when I got up the stairs Mazie (on of the girls in my dance class) had a big number on and was really excited too. So I asked her what was up and she told me about the auditions! Then I was excited! So I filled out the form and got my number, 75, and started to stretch, for one whole class I wore flats! Not my point shoes. Then when we were all ready and up to the bar Michelangelo said Hello and introduced himself and then we started to run through what we would be doing. It was harder than most dance classes (of course it is called Ballet Intensive!) but it was SO fun! Then at the end Farah told us about Summer Ballet Intensive and told us to come to her one at a time and she would tell us our score. She said that I was placed in group two, in this they go... 1 = good, 2 = really good and 3 = the BEST! so getting in to group two was exciting! She sent home a pamphlet with me telling my what my schedule would be and other things like that.

But there are some set backs... #1: It is 3 hours away. #2: it's $900 plus I would have to get new point shoes and a lot of dance equipment! So it would be over $1000! But home school pays for it. BUT that means I would only have $400 dollars left for dance the rest of the year! and it costs $90 a month! #3: it would be during fish camp! (When we set net fish), so I would not get to that at all. #4: I would have no home school money left for theater camp!
So there is a LOT of set backs!

Still it was fun!
