Writing Magic 3

Here is the 3rd assignment from Writing Magic. In this assignment I had to turn someone I disliked into a animal (didn't matter what kind) then I had to write a short story about it. So Here it is. It's short but I could not think of anything else and I liked it where it was at :)

Spider Story

Thunk. Thump. Thunk. TUMP! “They’re everywhere! HELP!!!!” Thump. Thunk. Thump. THUNK! As Ken ran for all he was worth the thumping and thunking kept staying right behind him. He dodged pebbles and zipped around grass blades, trying to find shelter from the horrible beasts. Finally he spotted a tree dead ahead! If he could swing up it he could escape. 10 feet (or so it seemed to him, a spiders judgment of distance is non to good). 5 feet. There! He flung his line as high as it would go then began to climb as fast as he could go.

“Safety at last!” Ken said in his small squeaky voice. He looked down only to see that he was not as far up as he had thought. He started to scurry up again, hoping to not get caught. When he stopped again he was at eye level with the beast! Faster and faster he climbed but loosing energy (a spiders legs are non to big). Finally he stopped sure that this time he would be so far away that he would be safe.

“Wow. I have not ran, scurried, climbed, and all the jazz for days!” He let out a calming breath trying to calm down. When he mustard enough courage to looked down, he did. What he saw made him scream in terror! “These beasts can even climb trees! Noooo!!!” He fainted (yes fainted).

“Oh you poor little thing let me take you home and you’ll be just fine.”

*****

When Ken woke up he was in a lush jungle (or so it looked from a spiders view). From Livy’s view it was just a long jar with grass and leaves and many little bugs for her collection.

For once in Kens life he was not running in fear of being squished.

And they (Ken, the spider. And Livy, the girl with the jar) lived happily ever after.

The End
