Writing Magic 5 (part 2)

“Did you hear Amber? Did you hear?!” Celia and Elli burst into my room. “There’s going to be a competition!”
“A dance competition!”
“You have to enter!”
“Slow down! What competition? Where’s it at? When? What do I have to do? And why are you so excited about my going when you have not even said you’re doing it?” I asked trying to calm them down.
Celia the oldest of the two sisters and the drama queen said, “OK. The competition is a dance competition. It’s for ballet, point, and creative movement.”
Elli took over, “It will be held in the auditorium of the high school, on March 11th.”
(Celia again,) You just have to be a good dancer. It’s not a real competition. It’s more of a thing to see what level you’re in.”
(As you can guess its Elli’s turn) We like dance but I’m not one for a dance school. I don’t think I’ll go. You don’t have to go to the school but still I don’t think I’ll want to audition.”
“Well it sounds fun to me.” I said.
“We thought you would say that. That’s why we told you. Well help you get ready if you’d like.”
“What do you mean by “get ready” Celia?”
“Well you never know what they will ask you to do. They might change the things from tandos to schangmas, or something. You have to be ready for everything.”
“Well ok.” I smiled. “I can’t wait. But that’s still 2 months away.”“Yes. So we have plenty of time to get you ready.” Elli smiled at me, she was my best friend and I was glad.
