The last part! I did it! Tell me what you think!
“OK let’s see. Fist on the list is ‘Things to Buy’ so I think the first act we must perform if to look though your dance bag and see what you’ve got and what we’ll need to get you.” Celia looked down from her notes. I got up and went to my closet and pulled out my dance bag. “Is it necessary? I mean we’re in the middle of the dance season so presumably I would have all I need, right?”
“Right but we must make sure. Besides you may need a few odds and ends.” Elli was the sensible one of us all.
“Alright then. Well proceed with the list.” As Celia named things I would dig though my dance bag until I found it then hold it up for approval.
“Now let us see,” Celia went on after we had completed all the items on the list. “What we’ve got. You need… Tights, clips, and new ribbons for your point shoes. You need to mend… your point shoe ribbons and the hem of your skirt. You need to wash… your leotard, and the bottoms of your point shoes sins that’s the category you’ll be entering. Right?”
“Well I guess.”
“Good now let’s get going.”

“Wow. Next on our list is to take a nap!” Elli sat down on my bed with a thump. We had just spent the last three hours shopping, mending, and washing (by hand) my leotard and shoes. Totally should not have taken three hours but it did because once we got back from shopping and had gotten everything ready to wash and put new ribbons on my point shoes we discovered that the bottoms were falling off (the outer fabric I mean) so we had to go back to the store and get fabric glue. Then after I had sewed the ribbons on I discovered that I had not sewn them on with dental floss so they ripped out as soon as I flexed my foot. So we had to take all the stitches out and sew them on again. Making it all take more time than it should.
“That’s not on the list.” Celia said teasing her sister.
“Well it is now.” Elli took the list from her sister, scribbled on it then gave it back. We all lay down no matter where we were, bed, floor, or chair. I don’t think we actually slept; we were all too excited, even though the contest was still two months away.
